Nails!

Arghh I posted this a couple days ago but just noticed that it got deleted when blogger went all cray cray. Here I go again.
-----------------------------------------------------
Warning: These pictures aren’t the greatest and they were taken after a couple days (5-7 days) of wear.
No nail art either…Sorry! I’ve been really uninspired to do my nails.

Milani Silver Dazzle 00Milani Silver Dazzle 01
Milani “Silver Dazzle”. Without topcoat this np looks like concrete on my nails, but after I applied some Seche Vite it completely transformed. So sparkly and distracting!
IMG_8784
Orly “Black Vinyl” & L.A Girls Rockstar “Double Platinum” on day 7 of wear! I am really loving Double Platinum. Although it takes longer to dry than most glitter/holo polishes, it’s still super gorgeous. I don’t think my picture does this polish any justice.  (btw, if you’re wondering how on earth I got my mani to last 7 days with no chipping, I think it’s the Butter London top coat.)
Essence No More Drama
Essence “No More Drama” – this np reminds me of OPI “Done Out in Deco” which is one of my all time favs =)
Essie Turquoise and Caicos
Essie “Turquoise and Caicos” – This picture doesn’t do it any justice. It’s a really beautiful & bright turquoise color IRL.
Chinaglaze Seaspray
Chinaglaze “Sea Spray” – blue-gray
MaybellineSweetiePie
Maybelline “Sweetie Pie”
Chinaglaze For Audrey
Chinaglaze “For Audrey”

Thanks for reading! Have a great day =) Toots ladies.

American Apparel Nail Polish

California Trooper

One Coat. This is a sandy cream color. I grew to like this one. It's actually a pretty nice color.

 L'Esprit
1 Coat. IRL this polish is a brighter lavender color. It's subtle but definitely an eye-catcher, if that makes sense. =)

Passport Blue
2 Coats. This really reminds me of my passport. It's a gorgeous navy blue color.

My Two Cents:
Pro: Usually opaque in 1 coat, fast drying, long lasting, beautiful cream finishes, lots of colors to choose from
Con: Can be slightly streaky.
Price: $6.00 for 1 bottle or $15.00 for 3 @ American Apparel.
Overall: I think I need more! lol How often can you find 1 coaters? Great for gals on the go. I love 'em!

$0.49 Deborah Lippman "Bad Romance Dupe"? Possibly...

Hot Topic no name nail polish that came in a set for $0.98, making this polish $0.49.

3 Coats + 1 Coat NailTek Top Coat. Day 3 of mani.
I think the top coat I used made this polish less pretty. It was quite shiny on its own.
IRL this polish is absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't seem to capture its beauty. Probably cause I waited until the 3rd day to snap pics.  I don't actually own Bad Romance so I can't say for sure, but judging from others' swatch pics, I'd say this nail polish is a pretty good dupe. Try it for yourself if you can still find this set at Hot Topic! It might be even cheaper now.

What do you guys think?

Nail Polish!

Hope everybody had an awesome Christmas! =)
I think I'm starting to have self control when it comes to nail polish. I haven't bought much since November!

Forever 21 light green & avocada, OPI DS magic & OPI ink
Look at the light green! It's really sheer and has gold flakes. This polish would be beautiful if the flakes were duochrome.
Hot Topic: Glow in the dark pink glitter, "Birthday" (multi colored glitter), purple glitter, periwinkle
This is supposed to be quite similar to Deborah Lippman's "Bad Romance". I can't wait to try it! The set is currently on sale at Hot Topic for $0.98. Super cheap!
I tried to capture the different color glitters in "Birthday" but I failed. lol It's basically confetti-like, medium sized glitter. I'm surprised this polish actually has a name (according to the website that is).
In the spotlight, Pink Confetti, Victoriana (Thanks for this one Angie!)

I wasn't too excited about Pink Confetti but look! It's actually really beautiful over black. You can see the blue, gold, and silver glitters. Kind of galaxy like =) I like it!
One coat OPI black onyx + one coat Pink Confetti
Pretty cool right? haha

Have a great day =P

Nail Polish Haul From Ross!

I totally scored big today =D I went to Ross to kill time before dinner and something glittery was calling my name from afar! Behold the Color Club Glitter Vixen set for $7.99! It was the last one too!
L-R: Sex Symbol, Magic Attraction, Sultry Diva, Art of Seduction, Sexy Siren, Object of Envy, Tru Passion
These are some hot glitter polishes!
[Edit]: Swatches!!!!!

I also picked up a Maybelline Express Finish set. I have a feeling Ross packaged the polishes together and made this set . There's no labeling on the box that says Maybelline or anything. This was $4.99, less than a buck for each polish! =D I love pastels and cream finishes!
L-R: Sweetie Pie, Caliente Coral, Goody Plum Drop, Pink Sophistication, Minty

Can't wait to try these out since they're my first Color Club and Maybelline polishes!
I also spotted some Nailtek stuff, Borghese polishes, and other Color Club sets. Remember to check out the beauty & accessory section at your Ross next time! =)

Back to studying =/ Finals are coming up! Eeekkkkk.

P.S: Thanks for following! I really appreciate it <3

Hot Topic Teal Glitter Swatch

Hot Topic's no name nail polish. Clear base w/ teal & blue glitter.
3 coats + 1 coat Out The Door top coat.

Application was tricky. The brush is wide and long and the top is short so you have to control your strokes without much surface to hold on to. The formula was slightly goopy, but i'm not sure if that's due to the bottle/brush design.
Each coat came on jelly-like and it took longer than typical glitter polishes to dry. Despite the bad brush design, I am loving this color! Feels kind of festive. =)

I think I need more Hot Topic nps! =)
